This is going to be an emotional sell for sure. Horse and rider have learned and grown a lot together over the last couple years. Chester is a 16 hand, 10 year old, Thoroughbred gelding. His tattoos are hard to read, so no racing history for him. Teen rider, who previously rode western, bought him near Aiken with no jumping history and they started the journey together. Chester is very athletic with a lot of go. They joined the team at “Justintime Farms” in Nichols, SC under Nikki Graham, where he was given the title as a “jumper.” They competed in Jumpers for a full year. Ribboned up to 2’6 and schooled at 2’9 and occasionally 3’ with the coach. Chester has both leads, and gets them in practice, shows, and just playing around in the arena. He last competed in Fall of 2022 due to busy schedule for the now 16 year old rider with school sports. Since then, he has just been a fun, all-around horse. Riding on the beach, trails, teaching him barrels for fun. He will do anything for his rider. He has had brand new riders on him, recently someone who has never been on a horse. (They were young teens). He is now in Georgetown, SC and gets ridden once a week. Loads great, enjoys baths, and being groomed. Super safe on the ground around anyone, currently not clipped, but has been twice with us and he was great. Known to be a little annoying to other horses in the field until he learns his place, then he is fine. (After he gets kicked a few times) Currently wears front shoes, but had all four when he was showing. We do his Hocks each Fall and has had no injuries or health issues during the two years we had him.
