Some engagement sessions just feel effortless, and Evan and Valerie’s session at Huntington Beach State Park was exactly that.
These two first met while attending Roanoke College in Virginia. Evan grew up in the Roanoke area, while Valerie made her way south from Connecticut. Their paths crossed in college, and the rest is history.
While visiting Evan’s family here in the Myrtle Beach area, they decided it was the perfect opportunity to schedule their engagement photos. We met at Huntington Beach State Park on what turned out to be an absolutely beautiful evening. Between the golden sunlight, ocean breeze, and stunning scenery, everything came together perfectly.
More importantly, Evan and Valerie were simply a joy to photograph. They were relaxed, playful, and completely comfortable with each other. One of the things that stood out most during their session was how much they genuinely seem to enjoy being together. They have the kind of connection that feels natural and easy—like best friends who happen to be in love.
As they continue planning their wedding and touring potential venues, I know they have an exciting season ahead. I wish them both the very best as they make these big decisions and begin the next chapter of their lives together.
