A Rainy Day, Sweet Surprises, and a Sparkler Exit: Mike & Monica’s Wedding at the Peanut Warehouse
Tonight was pure magic. Mike and Monica tied the knot inside the historic Peanut Warehouse in downtown Conway, SC—a venue full of rustic charm and character. While the forecast called for rain all day (and it delivered), the skies parted just long enough for us to sneak outside with the bride and groom for a few unforgettable portraits. The soft post-rain light and damp streets made for the kind of dreamy shots photographers live for.
Inside, the party was anything but ordinary. Mike, true to form, brought the energy and surprises. At one point during the reception, he dumped about 25 pounds of candy onto a table (yes, really!), turning it into a late-night sugar station that guests couldn’t resist. Then he jumped behind the DJ booth and treated everyone to a surprise guest set—because apparently, the groom also doubles as a party-starter.
The night ended with a sparkler exit that lit up the rain-kissed evening, as the remaining party animals sent the happy couple off in style.
Weddings like these remind me why I love what I do—real moments, unexpected twists, and the kind of joy that makes you forget the forecast.
Congratulations, Mike and Monica. It was an honor to capture your day.
