I sent an email to the bride to find out a bit about her story and she wrote back explaining so perfectly that I thought I would just share with you all, her story in her words. I am from Melbourne Australia. Grant is from Columbia, South Carolina.
We met 5 years ago, at The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida. I was staying there having a relaxing weekend with my parents after making the BIG decision to move back to Australia after having lived in Miami Beach for 8 years. We met, Grant came down to see me in Miami and we have been together ever since. We got engaged last year on the beach at Prince George while my parents were visiting and now one year later we decided to have a very spontaneous wedding while my parents and brother were visiting. We wanted it to be simple & fun with no stress – barefoot in the sand! We had originally intended to have a big wedding at my parents beach house in Australia but it was becoming so difficult to plan with the seasons being opposite to the US & the impending arrival of our 2 baby girls in January that this just seemed right. Grant has been coming down to this area since he was a child and this beach is now very special and sentimental to me. I have lived my life travelling and visiting different beaches all over the world and am a sun lover, hence the reason why I moved to Miami Beach, so the setting was just perfect – even though the sun was nowhere to be seen on the actual day.
