Today I woke up at 5am, packed the car and drove in the dark into Conway to W.A.R.M. which stands for the Waccamaw Animal Rescue Mission. There I was met by Julie, the director who thought we were all a bit nuts for doing this. Julie has such an amazing passion for all the animals that she rescues and was a total pleasure to hang out with for the morning. Joining me and styling the shoot was Sara Wise, an event planner with The Bride’s Maid. Summer, our crazy bride came ready to get dirty. Crazy is the best way to describe Summer since I can’t say that I would have done half the stuff she did for this shoot. Besides the fact that it was in the low thirties, she rolled around in a swamp with freezing cold (not so clean) water. We had a lot planned for the pigs but they weren’t very social so it seemed like the Alpaca’s and goats were out best friends for the day. A big thanks to Reilly and Tyler from the Academy for the Arts, Science and Technology who got up extrememly early on a Saturday to help out. They were the beast goat repellers and lighting experts. Our little Tea Party with the animals wouldn’t have been so colorful and deliscious if it weren’t for the yummy cupcakes from The Pawleys Island Bakery and the Beautiful flowers from the Greenskeeper Florist of Pawleys Island. Thank you everyone for all the teamwork and FUN!
